The Nike Zoom Freak 1 Coming to America is the debut signature basketball shoe of Giannis Antetokounmpo in a limited edition colorway. This special version of the Zoom Freak 1 is inspired by the classic film Coming to America, which is a childhood favorite of the man known as the Greek Freak. The film also draws a parallel to Antetokounmpos own story, as Prince Akeem played by Eddie Murphy journeys to America on a quest for his royal queen, just like the basketball stars journey to the USA for his hoop dreams. The Coming to America colorway features a leopard print at its base layer below the black mesh, which is inspired by the fur outfits worn by Prince Akeem in the film. Elegant metallic gold finishes are found on the large Swooshes against the white foam midsole, while clear portions of the rubber outsole with glitter detailing complete the color scheme. Additional details include "Coming to America" embroidered in gold on each tongue, as well as a faux fur material on the tongue and heel.
